MUPC to sign MoU with Athumaneser

Mizoram UPC General Superintendent Rev. Dr. Ngurthanpara Sailo on May 26 had a meeting with the Chairman of Gnanodaya Institute of Nursing, Mysore Mr. S. Mohan Raju. The nursing institute run by the apostolic church “Athumaneser” offers courses in B.Sc Nursing, GNM, Lab- Technician and OT Technician.

A number of agreements are expected to be signed between the two parties between August 13-15, 2017.


General PYD live crusade successfully concluded.

General PYD Live Crusade 2017 held on May 20 -21 at New Siaha Mizoram UPC Church has been successfully concluded. The Live crusade was attended by General PYD officials, Mizoram UPC revival Team members and the subcommittee officials of General PYD, whereas delegates from Lawngtlai, Lunglei and Niawhtlang were also present.

The two days crusade started off with a revival meeting from May 21, Saturday night. The first night of the crusade was chaired by General PYD president Elder V. Lalthangchuanga with Pastor Lalhmingchhuanga preaching 'The oneness of God'. After the church service on Sunday morning, 'street gospel service' was organised on the streets of Siaha town chaired by Zonunmawia while Pastor Lalhmachhuana of Lawngtlai preached 'Dead in your sins, Baptism and Prostitution of the Pulpit'.  

Southern Area secretary Rev. Vanlalsipaia was also among the dignitaries present at the crusade with the Live Crusade being telecast on NSV Cable network.


ATI Blood Donation

Students of Mizoram UPC theological college Apostolic Theological Institute (ATI) on May 25 organised Blood Donation Camp at the ATI campus, Durtlang. In all, 28 students and staff donated blood for Synod Hospital Durtlang. Encouraging the blood donors on the occasion, Dr. B. Lalnunthari, Durtlang Hospital expressed that there is no harm in donating blood and asked the students to continue their good work.

It was in 2004 when Apostolic Theological Institute (ATI) first organised blood donation camp where 22 students and staff donated blood for Synod Hospital, Durtlang. The Mizoram UPC theological college currently has 52 students in its Mizo section.


Missions Board meeting

The 113th Mizoram UPC General Missions Executive Board meeting was held on May 26 in its General Headquarters Conference Hall, the meeting was chaired by Elder H. Zosangliana, chairman of the General Missions Department.

The meeting, which was also attended by the MUPC officials unanimously granted funds to carry out repair and maintenance works of employee quarters in different mission fields while it also revised the salary of workers. The meeting also had a preview on how to disseminate the Missions Department Hindi Calendar.
